iOS App Location Settings

Enabling Location During First Launch

  1. When you first open the BettorEdge app, you'll see a prompt asking for permission to use your location

  2. Tap "Allow While Using App" to grant location access
  3. For the best experience, select "Allow Once" only if you plan to enable location manually each time
Enabling iOS Location If Previously Denied
If you previously denied location access:
  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap BettorEdge
  3. Tap Location
  4. Select "While Using the App" or "Always"

Verifying Precise Location is Enabled for iOS

For accurate location verification:

  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security
  3. Tap Location Services
  4. Ensure Location Services is toggled ON
  5. Scroll down and tap BettorEdge
  6. Make sure Precise Location is toggled ON
Android App Location Settings

Enabling Location During First Launch

  1. When first opening BettorEdge, you'll receive a permission request for location access
  2. Tap "While using the app" or "Only this time"
  3. If prompted for precise location, tap "Allow"

Enabling Location If Previously Denied

If you previously denied location access:

  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Tap Apps or Applications
  3. Find and tap BettorEdge
  4. Tap Permissions
  5. Tap Location
  6. Select "Allow only while using the app" or "Ask every time"

Verifying Precise Location is Enabled

For Android 12+ users:

  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Tap Location
  3. Tap App location permissions
  4. Find and tap BettorEdge
  5. Make sure "Allow all the time" or "Allow only while using the app" is selected
  6. Ensure Precise Location is toggled ON
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Location Still Not Working

If BettorEdge still cannot detect your location:

  1. Make sure you're in a state where BettorEdge operates legally
  2. Check that your device's general location services are enabled
    • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services
    • Android: Settings > Location
  3. Ensure your device has a clear view of the sky or is near a window
  4. Disable any VPN services running on your device
  5. Restart the BettorEdge app


Battery Optimization Affecting Location

On Android, battery optimization can interfere with location services:

  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Tap Battery or Battery & device care
  3. Tap Battery optimization or Battery usage
  4. Find BettorEdge in the list
  5. Select Don't optimize or Unrestricted

  1. Create or log into your account
  2. Verify your location is detected correctly
